Yet, despite this close proximity to some of the world’s busiest international destinations, Dr. Phillips retains a localized flavor and tranquility.

Dr. Phillips also has an impressive list of A-rated schools for children of all ages. Anchored by the award-winning Dr. Phillips High School, the community also has four of Orange County’s top elementary schools Dr. Phillips Elementary School, Bay Meadows Elementary School, Palm Lake Elementary School and Windy Ridge Elementary School as well as the outstanding Southwest Middle School.
The Dr. P. Phillips Park is located in the heart of the area and provides a recreational area for all to enjoy—including the furry friends. With softball fields, soccer fields, a bandstand and a beach volleyball area, this park encompasses all ranges of physical fitness and is a great place for a picnic of family outing—it even has a splash pad. There are also numerous gyms, group fitness studios, and plenty of beautiful, tree-lined streets for those who enjoy an active lifestyle.
Dr. Phillips is home to two challenging golf courses as well. The first of which winds its way through Orange Tree, one of the area’s oldest and most established neighborhoods in the Dr. Phillips area. The second course is located at the Bay Hill Country Club. This stunning course was designed by golfing legend Arnold Palmer and is home to his annual PGA Tour Tournament, the Arnold Palmer Invitational. The tournament is played every March and draws thousands of golfing fans and some of the biggest names on the PGA Tour.

The aptly named, “Restaurant Row,” located on Sand Lake Road in the center of Dr. Phillips provides an almost limitless selection of gastronomic choices. In 2015, Dr. Phillips was named one of Money Magazine’s 50 best places to live in the U.S. and placed second on that list for job growth and economic opportunities in towns with populations of 10-50,000.
